AFT MH100 Trencher
The Daddy of all our trenchers.

This is our largest trencher and is ideal for use on larger scale operations, where there are difficult substrates, and where access is limited. This chain trencher mounts onto the arm of a 360° excavator. We recommend that a 21 tonne minimum excavator is used. The MH100 trencher can trench in almost any ground conditions. Fitted with tungsten carbide bullet teeth, the trencher can cut through asphalt, compacted hardcore, brick rubble and even concrete. It is however equally at home trenching in clays or “normal” soils. Augers deliver the crumb spoil along the trench edge for ease of backfilling. This trencher has the power to dig deep clean trenches though most substrates whilst maintaining a fast rate of progress.

The AFT MH100 trencher is mounted on a turntable that can be rotated to any angle. Coupled with the corresponding rotation of the arm of the parent excavator the AFT MH100 trencher can be used to trench over and parallel to obstructions that would normally prevent access. Examples include trenching over Armco barriers, hedgerows and ditches or streams. The size of obstacle that can be overcome is dependent on the reach of the parent excavator on which it is mounted.

The AFT MH100 trencher can be the ideal trencher for use on large scale water vole fencing jobs where a deep trench is required and trenching can often involve reaching over water vole ditches. This work along with newt fencing works can also often involve trenching on brownfield sites where there may be brick rubble or other hard aggregates in the ground.
